Formula
Fuel efficiency (km/L) = Distance (km) / Fuel consumed (L). Cost per km = Fuel price (₹/L) / Efficiency (km/L). Annual fuel cost = Daily km × 365 × Cost per km.
Example calculation
Truck travels 400 km on 55 litres diesel at ₹95/litre: Efficiency = 400/55 ≈ 7.27 km/L. Cost per km = 95/7.27 ≈ ₹13.07/km. Annual cost at 250 km/day = 250 × 365 × 13.07 ≈ ₹11.93 lakh/year.
